The Independent Pan European Digital Association IPEDA

IPEDA is a Paris based non-for profit association founded in 2009 dedicated to using new technologies to the advancement of the European Film industry.

IPEDA’s objectives are based on real business needs from its members looking to work together in order to strengthen the Film and VoD industries in Europe.

As a result, they can be summarised as follows:

• Increase the circulation of films within the European Union, and thus expand the monetising opportunities for rights-holders,

• Facilitate the sourcing of content for European VoD platforms in order to help in the development of richer and more culturally diverse catalogues on offer,

•Provide a networking environment, through a non-for profit association, where information, best practices, and resources can be mutualised and shared.

IPEDA has decided to work on these objectives by placing the Internet and new technologies at the centre of its operations.

Admission to the association is open to all (companies and individuals) working within the film industry. It is establish to federate Film Production, Distribution and Sales companies. VoD Platforms, broadcaster, professional associations, open‐source initiatives working with the film industry, and institutions are also admitted.
